Scripture

Romans 5:3-5  (AMP)

Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance.

And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of [a]character (approved faith and [b]tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] [c]joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation.

Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us.

Prayer

Dear Lord, again I thank You for another day. Thank You for your grace and mercy that continues to cover me. As I try to own up to the challenges (pet peeves) and things that annoy me in my life, I ask You to help me look at my circumstances from another view. As Your word teaches me, help me to triumph and praise You in trouble and rejoice in suffering knowing that all these things will make who I am better. Lord I want to truly understand and embrace that pressure, agitation, disturbances, etc. help produce strong traits in me like patience, endurance, maturity of character, integrity, faith, and confident hope in my salvation in You. Every challenge I face will draw me closer to  You if I lean on You to show me the way through that challenge. I thank You for being there for me.
Amen
