Hey yall!! its been awhile but I promise I’m about to be back in the swing of things. 2012 has been full of some of the toughest situations as well as some beautiful beginnings for me. Today when I thought about “What I want to blog about?” I said to myself CHOICES!!!
I’ve been faced with alot of challenges lately a lot of testing of my character, integrity and faith. A times the situation can be so pressing and consuming that we fail to realize there’s a CHOICE in the matter. The context of your situation would want you to believe that reacting that issue in a implusive, negative manner making you think that’s your only choice! Sin is the same way, from the beginning when it entered the Earth its sole purpose was to make us beleive its our only choice and its the right and natural choice. But Jesus came and ripped that lie to shreds offering us eternal life with Him giving us the choice to CHOOSE Christ or CHOOSE the devil – no in between- your either for one or the other.
The devil is still up to his tricks, maybe he’s not crippling your decision/choice making in the BIG sins but its the little things, like you attitude, how you respond to someone, how you deal with a back stabber or a gossiper, how you react to family issues, etc. He wants you to believe that “The worst that can happen” or “Your natural instinct” or ” Your initial response” is the right and only choice you have.
It’s time to stop the devil in his tracks. Just like you can choose life with Christ you can choose peace or chaos or frustration, you can choose humility over aggravation and pride, you can choose that good attitude over the bad one, you can choose faith over feeling, fear, and doubt.
No matter what your choice is…. when it comes to eternal life or your day to day interactions…the choice is yours and no one elses!
The Message (MSG)
15 “If you decide that it’s a bad thing to worship God, then choose a god you’d rather serve—and do it today. Choose one of the gods your ancestors worshiped from the country beyond The River, or one of the gods of the Amorites, on whose land you’re now living. As for me and my family, we’ll worship God.”
New King James Version (NKJV)
Meditate on These Things
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
