Home > Bible Study > Threat or Ally… Which are you? Mon. Jan 14,2013

It’s imperative that we realize the power in the choices we make. This morning I woke up and said “Good Morning God! Thanks for letting me get up another day… that must mean you want me here!” Then once I FINALLY made it out the bed, I said ” Thank you again God! And I choose You today. I choose to be a threat to the enemy and not an ally!”

You must realize every waking moment of your life there are 2 very influential forces that want you to on their side (one obviously GREATER than the other) : God and Satan. If you say you are for God, then you should live to be a threat to the enemy. That would consist of you justifiably being a BULLY! Push him around, let him know God is the boss of your life, over your circumstances, over your loved ones, over the matters that break your heart like famine, poverty, violence, etc. When you are a threat to someone, they usually know it. They’re afraid of your next move, they don’t want to see you excel in anything, and they’ll do anything to sabotage you. Satan should be afraid every morning when you wake up, he should walk on egg shells around you knowing you can drop a prayer that can cause utter confusion to any plan he sets.

There’s no way possible to say you’re an threat to Satan but you do things that look like he’s your best friend. You’re gossiping about people, causing confusion by what you say and how you say it, you’re lying, cheating, sleeping around, being sneaky, plotting to tray this man or that woman to be with you, you’re hating on your haters, spending your nights and some days drunk, high and partying but you’re a threat to the enemy?!?!?! NO you’re deceived! (See Galatians 5:19-21 at end of blog)

The first step to true repentance is really realizing you’ve done wrong and need to fix it. A simple “I’m sorry God” is often used as a blanket to “get you out of hot water fast!” I mean if that’s what you want to do, be my guest. God is still God and will still be God even after your empty apology. You must really see that I’ve been deceived, I’ve done wrong and I don’t want to do it anymore and I want to be a threat to the one who deceived me.

You can’t be both a threat and an ally to Satan…. It’s your choice!! I pray you choice to be a threat to him. God is greater than Him and God’s plan for you will supersede Satan’s plan – which is to make you feel like your life is great now then give you a hellish life after death! Choice to be an ally of God and a threat to Satan.

Galatians 5:19-21

19 When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, 21 envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

1 John 1:5-10

Living in the Light

This is the message we heard from Jesus[c] and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all. So we are lying if we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness; we are not practicing the truth. But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts.
