COVID has forced us to pay attention to the under utilized and often neglected ways to love and show affection. No longer is a hug, long embrace, cuddle or snuggle up moment so easily welcomed or allowed so we’re challenged to be more observant and pay attention to light in someone’s eye when they see you, the smile that beams across their face, the pained behavior that motions I just want to be close to you, the way you say goodbye a good four times before you actually depart, the extra I love you and I miss you gifs, the greater frequency in FaceTime calls, the excessive “I just want you to know....” texts so no feeling of love is left unspoken. I think that’s beautiful. If you’ve allowed this pandemic to teach you, your awareness of self and intimacy should have grown tremendously. ❤️
